It’s just hair

It’ll fade, right?
Or at least grow out?
Because it looks a whole lot darker than it photographs, and I do not like it. I did want to go darker, yes, but I was aiming more for auburn than this, which is a pretty deep chestnut in person. It makes my face look washed out.
She offered to lighten it up a little on the spot, but that’s not terribly good for hair. I’ll just live with it until it fades; in a few weeks, it’ll probably be exactly where I wanted it in the first place.
But for now, I’m startling myself every time I look in the mirror.

Well done on the chlorine situation!!!! Damn you’re good.
The hair is great in the pic, but considering my own does that goofy sparkly thing in pics I’ll take your word it’s too dark in real life. I’ve rarely gone dark (in human colors anyhow- navy blue? kelly green? sure) but I do know they fade, especially the red based ones. ~LA

it usually always takes about 2-3 weeks to fade.. and if you’re doing red undertones.. it’s really hard to get out if you go for another shade. if you need tips.. i have em. But it looks good!
